Ronald “Ronnie” Kelvin Lamb Sr. peacefully entered eternal rest on October 29, 2025. He is a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. A proud veteran and graduate of Norfolk State University, Ronald valued education, service, and hard work throughout his life. Born on June 19, 1950, to Loretta Lamb and Willie Bell, he was raised with strength, compassion, and faith. Additionally, his beloved Aunt Florence Creekmoore taught him values that guided him through every season of his life. Ronald nobly served his country in the United States Army, enlisting in 1971 and
honorablly retiring at the rank of E-7 Sergeant First Class in 2001. His dedication to service reflected his courage, integrity, and devotion to duty.
A devoted member of Bethel AME Church, Ronald’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He shared his musical gifts and fellowship as a dedicated member of the Chancel
Choir, the Men’s Choir, and the Sons of Allen ministry. His deep love for worship was beautifully expressed through his favorite hymn, “How Great Thou Art,” which captured his spirit of gratitude and reverence for God’s grace.
He is survived by his loving wife Rosetta Lamb, his children Tonya (Ray) Acosta of Houston, Ronald (Desiree) Lamb Jr. of Newport News and James Gorham of Los Angeles. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Morgan Legington, Ronald Lamb III, Amelia Lamb, Olivia Lamb, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
He was predeceased in death by his beloved mother Loretta Lamb Jarvis, daughter Umeka Lamb and brother Darry Lamb whose memory he carried lovingly in his heart. He also leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, family and friends who will remember his wisdom, humor, warmth, and unwavering kindness.
Ronald’s legacy of faith, love, service, and song will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him. The family of Ronald Kelvin Lamb Sr. extends our deepest gratitude to Riverside Hospice for their compassionate care, comfort, and support during Ronald’s final days.
