On Sunday, June 7, 2026, our Lord and Savior called His beloved son, Terry Blount, home to eternal rest.
Terry was educated in the Norfolk Public School System and dedicated 48 years of service to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he worked as a chef before retiring in 2015. His commitment, work ethic, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Terry was a loyal member of the Screaming Eagles MC, where he enjoyed traveling and creating lasting memories on his motorcycle. He was also a faithful member of Smyrna Church of Christ Holy Disciples, where he was loved by many. He attended services faithfully until his health no longer allowed him to do so.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Jackson; his father, Robert Jackson; his first wife, Missionary Dorothy Blount; his second wife, Wanda Rayner-Blount; his sister, Wilhelmina Wilkerson; and his brother, Larry Blount.
He leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy: two sons, Jermaine Morning-Blount (Rovanda) of Hampton, Virginia, and Corey Blount (Dedra) of Chesapeake, Virginia; one daughter, Zikeya Butts (Wesley) of Austell, Georgia; two sisters, Theresa Blount of Detroit, Michigan, and Joyce Blount of Norfolk, Virginia. He was a proud grandfather to DeShonna Eaton, Jermaine Blount, Jr. (Samecia), Jevonté Blount (Travis), Jevonda Blount, Kori-Madisyn Blount-Thompkins (Vincent), Joy Blount, and Kennedy Blount, and a loving great-grandfather to Ryan, Sky, Kaylen, Kamari, twins Ira and Ori, Iris, and Kaius. Terry also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his love, wisdom, and memory.
